J24 / REGATA COPA MÉXICO
Speed and adrenaline with the J24s
March 2 - 9, 2012
The most popular sailing class in the world will make Riviera Nayarit vibrate for a week, as the J24 competitions will bring some of the fastest boats in the world to our destination.
All competitions will begin at Marina Riviera Nayarit, located in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, which is hosting this competition.
J24 is the most popular sailing class in the world, as it can be used either as a high-endurance competition vessel, or for recreational activities. In fact, the class was born when Rodney Johnstone and his brother Rob decided to create a boat that would allow them to navigate with their family, and that would also allow them to remain competitive. There are currently 5,300 J24s, in 150 fleets in more than 40 countries, with 50,000 people navigating them.
